My last piece of advice is this simple… Persevere. Because nothing worthwhile is easy.

2 Year Old Freestyle Raps in Gibberish with a Hype Man
oh. my. god this is beautiful.
honestly, this young person rides the beat better and has more charisma than many adults on mainstream radio now. *love* his hand gestures.have to reblog this again, too cute and this kid has an amazing sense of rhythm for a two year old.
i love this. the pure joy of hip hop. of creating rhythms. self expression at its purest. i have said for a long time that the reason that black people, in general, have better sense of rhythm is because we teach our young very early on to love rhythm. unlike in other cultures, where children are encouraged to not move when there is music on, or to be quiet and listen to the song, or to not improvise over rhythms (if you spend time around children you know that these are things that most children do automatically as part of their development processes), black cultures (and i love that his hype man is sub saharan african) on the whole encourage our young that music is joyful and energetic and meant to be responded to in kind.
full heart.

You will remember that leaping stream
where sweet aromas rose and trembled,
and sometimes a bird, wearing water
and slowness, its winter feathers.
You will remember those gifts from the earth:
indelible scents, gold clay,
weeds in the thicket and crazy roots,
magical thorns like swords.
You’ll remember the bouquet you picked,
shadows and silent water,
bouquet like a foam-covered stone.
That time was like never, and like always.
So we go there, where nothing is waiting;
we find everything waiting there.—
